The first female advanced chess match in the chess history between Ukrainian chess players Anna Ushenina and Olena Boytsun will be held on April 2, 2013 in Kyiv, Ukraine, at the Radisson Blu Hotel

Advanced Chess is a fusion of creative chess play and up-to-date computer technologies. The chess players are allowed to consult any computer program to analyse their position and making decisions about their next moves. Thus, the game is blunder-free and the quality of the game is higher, although the chess players are still in full control of their moves.

The event is organized by the Ukrainian Charity Foundation «Chess for Children» in order to popularize the game of chess and to establish an award named after Evgeniy Sozonov for talented children within the charity programme of the UCF «Chess for Children». The major tasks of the programme are the development of the sport of chess, the popularization of a healthy way of living among the young in Ukraine, as well as providing support to talented young chess players. The purpose of the match is to demonstrate for young chess players all the advantages that one can get combining good education with the usage of the computer technologies to fulfil their dreams.

The time control of the game will be 30 minutes + 5 seconds. Agenda on April 2nd, 2013:

11.00 – opening ceremony, press conference
11.30 – 12.30 – chess match
12.30 – closing ceremony

The Ukrainian Charity Foundation “Chess for Children” was founded in November 2012 by WIM Olena Boytsun. The primary purpose of the Fund activity is to discover the potential of every child by engaging children into playing chess and by promoting chess in society.
